WASTE SERVICES

The Waste Services Team aims to help companies identify, minimise and recycle their wastes to increase organisation competitiveness and divert waste from landfill. They offer an opportunity to take direct waste management action by making use of the following services.

Waste Exchange

This service matches waste producers with potential re-users/recyclers and promotes the exchange of waste between them. Organisations find alternative disposal routes for their waste, reducing waste going to landfill while saving on disposal costs and, in some cases, generating an income. View the latest issue of Lancashire Waste Exchange here and log on at www.wasteworks.org.uk for more information on this service and the wastes available/wanted.

Waste Reviews

Waste reviews are undertaken to assess legislative compliance, identify and quantify the various waste streams, suggest alternative disposal routes and identify potential cost savings. This service includes a site visit and production of a confidential report.

Producer Responsibility

Organisation specific advice is available on the practical and administrative aspects of the Packaging Regulations.

Waste Management License

Advice and assistance on developing a working plan necessary for the application of a site waste management license is available.

If you are interested in any of the above services please contact the Waste Team for an informal discussion to investigate how best we can help.
