Waste Management

SpringThyme Oils Ltd, based in Padiham specialise in the manufacture of culinary infused oils made from fresh herbs, spices and vegetables. The amount of waste vegetable matter being produced was an environmental concern so the company sought a local composting facility to re-use their waste. By altering their waste management procedures SpringThyme have reduced man hours and improved house keeping on site. They are now diverting over 120 tonnes from landfill and the scheme has reduced their waste disposal costs by 59%.
