CORPORATE RESPONSIBILITY
The new Companies Act 2006, states that company directors need to have regard for the impact of a company's operations on the community and the environment. The EU Accounts Modernisation Directive also introduces requirements for companies to report on significant environmental matters in Directors Reports. This applies to over 36,000 large and medium UK based businesses - you may be one!
The Lancashire Business Environment Association can provide funded support for a Corporate Responsibility pre-assessment of your business, followed by a targeted CR action plan to add value to your operations and engage your stakeholders.
Our trained advisors can support your business on these issues and how to manage them by:
* Producing a targeted CR action plan
* Producing a tailored social, ethical and environmental risk register
* Signposting your business to local community volunteering schemes
* Researching community support and/or sponsoring opportunities
* Understand how to "green" your supply chain and embed sustainability with suppliers
* Compile a tailored code of business conduct
